This is a very useful compendium and guide to good positive behaviour practice  - particularly in supporting people with intellectual disability or other cognitive impairments.

This workbook contains a disclaimer making it clear that it has been prepared as a practice reference resource only.  The disclaimer from the Department states that the workbook is not a comprehensive or binding statement of the obligations of practitioners or disability service providers in relation to their work and should not be relied upon as such. It states that the Department of Human Services will endeavour to update this document from time to time as the need arises but does not warrant that it will always be up to date.

The Department of Human Services and the State of Victoria disclaims all liability for any loss or damage suffered by any individual or organisation as a result of use of the framework or reliance on any information it contains, including loss or damage arising from any claims made by a third party.

Acknowledging that, we comment that it is a good practice reference and presents as an important and useful tool in guiding positive support practice.
